Common questions
How do I play Pentago? ▾
Place a marble on any of the four 3×3 grids, then rotate one grid clockwise or anti-clockwise. Align five of your own marbles in a row — vertically, horizontally, or diagonally — across the four grids to win. Full rules are available in the app under How To Play.
Do I have to rotate a grid every turn? ▾
Almost always, yes. The one exception: if placing your marble immediately lines up five in a row, you win instantly and don't need to rotate.
Can I play against a friend, or only the AI? ▾
Both. Choose Player vs Player to play locally with a friend, or Player vs AI to test yourself against the computer opponent — pick your mode from the main menu before you start.
How do profiles work? ▾
Each profile keeps its own stats and achievements separate. Tap Add Profile from the profile selection screen to set one up for a new player.
Where can I see my stats and achievements? ▾
From the main menu, tap Gameplay Statistics to see games played, wins, losses, and draws, or Achievements to track milestones you've unlocked and see what's still ahead.
I found a bug — what should I do? ▾
